Peter C. Maurer

Peter Carl Maurer, 81, passed away on October 3, 2024. He was preceded in death by parents Nick and Mary Maurer, brothers Michael Maurer and Joey Maurer, niece Nicole Maurer, and beloved son Carl Nicholas Maurer.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years Shirley, daughter Jamie Maurer, son Chris Hamilton, grandchildren Kaine, Cameron and Malia Maurer, brother Nicky Maurer, sister-in-law Susan Maurer, nieces and nephews Kathy, Daniel, Pamela, and Mason, as well as several great nieces and nephews.

Pete attended Hendersonville High School. He was an Air Force veteran and served during the Viet Nam era. His tour of duty took him Thailand where he maintained fighter planes. When he returned home, he worked at Lakeside Marina and Tennessee Electric Motor Company until his retirement.

In his spare time, he was always repairing something. If it was broken, he could fix it! He also enjoyed watching television and sitting with his dogs.

Pallbearer’s will be Daniel, Mason, and Cameron Maurer as well as Bruce Priddy.

A graveside service at Hendersonville Memory Gardens will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at 3pm with military honors.
