Peter Allen Lawson, "Pete", 77, of Hendersonville, passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2020. He is preceded in death by his son, Gregory Allen Lawson, parents, Gerald and Mildred Lawson, brothers, Robert, James, Jack, and sisters, Marjorie and Frances. Peter is survived by and will be missed by his wife, Sandra (Sandy) Lawson, his daughter, Lisa (Craig) Coffman, grandchildren, Eleanor Maria, Olivia Katheran, and Benjamin Carter. Peter is also survived by many extended family and friends.

Peter was born on June 28, 1943, in Wyandotte, Michigan to Gerald Gourley Lawson and Mildred Frances (Montney) Lawson. Pete married his wife, Sandra (Cielec) Lawson on May 21, 1966. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was self-employed in the construction excavating field and as co-owner in the Lawson Brothers Ready-Mix Company in Hendersonville, TN. Due to his construction work, Pete traveled often. His wife would join him and together they would visit nearby state attractions. He was a bowler, he coached his son's baseball team and after moving to Hendersonville, he and his wife played in a local pinochle group and played on a doubles tennis team. Pete also owned a sailboat and enjoyed sailing.

Pete had an infectious sense of humor. His family was the most important thing to him and frequently made his three grandchildren the topic of his stories. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life service for Pete will be held at Hendersonville Funeral Home, 353 East Main Street in Hendersonville, on Monday, November 9th at 2:30 PM. Visitation for family and friends will begin at 12:00 PM. Burial with Military Honors will follow the service at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
