Peter Buikema

Peter Darwin Buikema, age 79 of Gallatin, TN passed away Sunday, February 13, 2022. Pete was born on December 29, 1942  in Chicago, IL. He was the oldest son of Peter Buikema and Minnie (Beukema) Buikema.

Pete is survived by his loving wife Grace (Wiersema) Buikema. They were married October 4, 1963 for 58 wonderful years; two sons, Peter Brian Buikema (Suzanne) and Daniel John Buikema (Megan) and one daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Franklin (Eric); granddaughters, Colleen Buikema and Camryn Buikema; grandsons, Liam Buikema, Aiden Buikema James Franklin and Griffin Franklin; sister, Cheryl Norris; brothers, Ralph Buikema (Ellen) and Russell Buikema and several nieces and nephews.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Minnie Buikema.

Open visitation will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2021 from 5 pm to 8 pm. A private graveside service for family and out of state friends at Hendersonville Funeral Home will be held Friday, February 18, 2022 at 10 am.
