Mrs. Peggy Jane (Brown) Guy of Gallatin TN. traveled peacefully into her Savior's waiting arms on Saturday morning Nov 7, 2020. She was 87. Peggy was the loving wife of Roy Edward Guy. The couple was married in 1951 and would have shared their 69th wedding anniversary on Nov. 14 of 2020.
Peggy was a graduate of Isaac Litton High School (Nashville), class of 1951. She was the proud mother of three Gospel Preachers. Peggy was a life-long member of the churches of Christ. She and her beloved husband Roy attended the Hendersonville church of Christ at her passing. Peggy was a wonderful person, a precious wife and a devoted mother.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, William Bert and Mildred Frensley Brown as well as by her older brother Billy Brown. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Roy, sons Steven (Cindy)of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Mark (Naomi) of West Carrollton, OH. and Michael Guy of Gallatin, TN. as well as by 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
No life can be summed up in so few words as these but understand Peggy Jane's life truly mattered. She changed her world for the best. Her example and her many acts of love will not be forgotten. As the Good Book says in Proverbs 31 (selected), "An excellent wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels... Her husband can trust her, and she will greatly enrich his life... Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her saying, 'Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.' Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. Give her the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her at the gates." Amen.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
