Peggy Greer age 82 of Hendersonville, TN. passed away on Tuesday, February 11th 2020. Funeral services for Peggy will be held at Hendersonville First Baptist Church on Friday, February 14th 2020 at 11:00AM with interment to follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens where she will be laid to rest in the Garden of Cross. Dr. Bruce Chesser will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be: Daniel Stephens, Joey Walker, Tommy Patterson, Malcolm Hendley, Ashton Williams & Jackson Williams.

The family will accept visitors at Hendersonville Funeral Home on Thursday, February 13th from 4:00PM until 8:00PM in the chapel. Visitation will continue Friday morning at Hendersonville First Baptist Church from 10:00AM until service time at 11:00AM.

Peggy leaves behind a legacy of love. She graduated from DuPont High School in 1955 and from Belmont College in 1959. The same year, she married Eddie Greer and they would go on to spend the next 60 years together. For a time she was a stay-at-home mother. Eventually she would go on to become a teacher in Sumner county and taught 4th grade for over 30 years. She received the honor of being a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, and was elected twice to "Who's Who among America's Teachers". She was a dedicated member of Hendersonville First Baptist Church. She enjoyed basketball, scrapbooking and sewing.

She is preceded in death by her parents Boy & Mildred Garner as well as her sister Sue & (Tom) Seat.

She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Eddie Greer. Her daughters Laurie & (Kirk) Clark and Lisa & (Joe) Walker. Grandchildren: Rachel & (Malcom) Hendley, Katie & (Tommy) Patterson, Jill & (Daniel) Stephens and Joey & (Kelly) Walker. Great-Grandchildren: Ashton Williams, Sydney Williams, Jackson Williams, Allison Patterson, Autumn Patterson, Dax Hendley, Kinsley Stephens, Lainey Walker and Molly Kate Stephens. Brothers: John & (Jane) Garner and Steve & (Beth) Garner.

Peggy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
