DECKER, Sr. Paul Dean-age 87 passed away August 2, 2012. He proudly served our country in WWII in the Battle of the Bulge. Later in life he worked at the Methodist Publish House for 33 years. He was a loving father, grandfather, and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Betty Decker; parents, Horace and Pauline Decker; brother, Horace Decker, Jr.; sister, Helen Swift. He is survived by son, Paul D. Decker, Jr.Jackie; daughter, Donna Decker Keehan Stephen; grandchildren, Cynthia Dale Jay, Jimmy Inglis Megan, Ty Decker Jennifer, Tommy Decker, and Joey Decker; 4 great-grandchildren also survive. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Larry Connel for his dedication and wonderful care. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Willow Brook Hospice. A Life Celebration Service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Davis officiating. Grandchildren and Larry Connel will serve as pallbearers. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
