Patsy "Pat" Jane Adkins Holland- age 73 passed away November 7, 2016. She was a 1961 graduate of DuPont High School in Old Hickory, TN. She was a loving and devoted mother and nana. When describing "Pat", "selfless", "giving", "compassionate", "spunky", and "independent" come to mind. She was devoted to the love of her life, our dad, James, and could not wait until they were reunited again. Before her decline in health, she loved to travel and garden. Some of her favorite places to visit were Mobile and Foley, Alabama, "The Bay" at Panama City and Tunica. Everyone knew that her 6 grandsons and great- granddaughter were her pride and joy. Even when Pat was in so much pain, her concern was always for everyone else.
Mother loved the holidays, especially Christmas. From decorating to presents and the Christmas Dinner --- Oh! The Christmas Dinner! ---- She always made sure it was taken care of, and it has always been one of the fondest of memories over the years. But, as for food ... her favorites were maple doughnuts and strawberry shakes!
Giving to a fault, she worried about others instead of herself. ... A loving soul to all who knew her .... She will be forever loved and missed.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James W. Holland. She is survived by her daughters, Cindy Martin (Tommy) and Sherrie Pruitt (Chris); grandchildren, Ryan Martin (Lauren), Austin Pruitt, Matthew Martin, Jamison Pruitt, Ethan Martin and Jordan Pruitt; great-granddaughter, Adalynn Pruitt and brother, James Adkins.
