Patricia Louise Edwards of Old Hickory passed away on June 13, 2015 at the age of 67. She was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.
Born on July 27, 1947, Patricia grew up in Greenville, NC and Madison, TN. She graduated from Madison High School and was a dedicated employee of the State of Tennessee until her retirement in 2004.
Patricia loved her family, children, and her dogs. She was an avid photographer and enjoyed scrapbooking in her free time. Since she spent the majority of the time behind the camera, she usually wasn't the subject of her photographs. However, each year she would use the timer and hop into the family's annual Christmas photo. She was a woman of faith and she loved the Lord. Patricia will always be remembered for her greatest achievement in her earthly life, "she was the best mom!" She always showed unconditional love, tenderness, and an unreserved willingness to sacrifice for others.
Patricia was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Leftwich; her niece, Kristina Layne; and sister-in-law, Carolyn Leftwich.
She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Ann-Marie Gleason (Christopher); her father, Robert Leftwich, Sr.; her brother, Robert Leftwich, Jr. (Linda); her nephews Michael Leftwich (Janis Turner) and Eric Eim; niece Stephanie Haggerty (Kevin); great nephews Jonathan and Christian Layne (father J.P. Layne) and Liam Haggerty; and great nieces Olivia and Katelyn Turner-Leftwich, Zoe Turner-Yovanovitch, and Anna and Neve Haggerty.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 18 from 4-8 p.m. at Hendersonville Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, June 19 at 11:00 a.m. after an hour of visitation at Parkway Baptist Church, Goodlettsville, TN. Interment will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
