Pamela T. Brown

August 20, 1945 — September 12, 2023

Hendersonville, TN

Pamela Tolliver Brown passed from this life Tuesday, September 12th, 2023 after a 3 year battle with Bile Duct Cancer.

She was preceded in death by father, James Sterling Tolliver and mother, Bessie Mae Tolliver

Survived by:  Husband, Michael V Brown (Husband), Children: Michael Todd Brown (Amy McIllwain Brown) &  Brian Kirk Brown (Peggy Eldridge Brown), Grandchildren: Allie Brown Lewis (Jonathan Lewis), Colton Alexander Brown (Julie Paschal), Michael Cooper Brown ( Cassie Whittaker Brown), Anna Brown Henson (Gaines Henson).

Pam was born August 20th, 1945 to Jim and Bessie Tolliver. She grew up in east Nashville attending Chapel Avenue Church of Christ.  She attended Lipscomb High School where she and Mike met their sophomore year.  She received her associates degree from David Lipscomb College. They married on August 28th, 1965 and just celebrated their 58th Anniversary.  They moved to Hendersonville in 1969 and attended Hendersonville Church of Christ where she was very involved and taught many young women about faith and Jesus.  For the last 30 years, she attended Community Church of Hendersonville and was instrumental in shaping women’s and many other outreach ministries.

She had an amazing "Christlike" ability to make people feel truly loved, valued and important.  She drew so many people into a deeper relationship with Jesus.  If you are reading this, you likely have been taught, blessed, touched or encouraged by her in some way.  She was an artist at heart, easily and enthusiastically recognizing God's amazing beauty in nature and in people.  She loved to use her skill as a calligrapher to display God's truths in pieces of art. Her faith was so important to her and it flowed through her in beautiful ways as she so effectively reflected the love of Christ into this world.  Even in her last moments, she was shining.

If you wish to make a donation, in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Community Church of Hendersonville, Alive Hospice, or Friends Love Local.
