Orville M. Clark, born November 7, 1936 and passed away on February 13, 2016.
Orville is preceded in death by his mother, Freda Colburn and father, Samuel Clark.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Louise (Bailey) Clark, of 59 years, daughter, Sharon Marlin (Curtis), son, David Clark (Cindi), daughter, Marlene Kenerly (Greg), and daughter, Brenda Brinkman (Jeff). Orville is also survived by 8 grandchildren; Allison Clark, Anna Clark, Sam Clark, Corey Kenerly, Hope Kenerly, Kip Kenerly, Ryan Brinkman and Tyler Brinkman and 1 great-grandchild, Cassel, brother, Melvin Clark of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan and two sisters, Norma Irish and Donna Goodrich of Mesa, Arizona.
Orville was born and raised in Jackson, Michigan where he worked at Diecast Corporation. He lived there until 1976, when he moved to Hendersonville, Tennessee, where he was employed as a postal carrier until his retirement in 1999. He was a deeply devoted family man who raised his children with a love for God and was a lifetime member of the Church of the Nazarene. His hobbies included playing guitar and writing poetry. In his younger days, he was regarded as one of the best fast-pitch softball pitchers in the region, but nothing made him as happy as seeing his children and grandchildren serve the Lord.
Life celebration for Orville will be held at Goodlettsville Church of the Nazarene, 400 Loretta Drive in Goodlettsville, Tennessee, on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at 1:00 PM, followed by burial at Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at Hendersonville Funeral Home, 353 E. Main Street in Hendersonville on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 from 5PM - 8PM and again on Wednesday from 12PM - 1PM at the church.
