Mrs. Ona Lee Rodgers age 98, of Gallatin, TN, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2018.
Mrs. Rodgers was born in Butler County, KY, on April 6, 1920, the daughter of the late William Fletcher Dennis and Mary Elizabeth Lee Dennis. She was a member of Hendersonville Church of Christ for many years. Mrs. Rodgers enjoyed quilting and gardening and was an excellent seamstress. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rodgers was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Dorris Rodgers; a sister, Norene Leggett; and three brothers, J.W. Kenneth Dennis, Glen Dennis, and Bill Dennis.
Survivors include her son, Glen (Patricia) Rodgers; a daughter, Fay (Phillip) DeWire; four grandchildren, Tracey DeWire, Lesley (Aaron) Ochoa, Alison Rodgers, and D. Patrick Rodgers; and seven great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 6, 2018, at 2:30 P.M., Hendersonville Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Friday from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and Saturday from 12:30 P.M. until the funeral hour at Hendersonville Funeral Home.
