Norman "Ray" Green, age 80, passed away peacefully at his home in Hendersonville, TN. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years, Shirley Ann Green, parents: Oscar and Ayune Owenby Green, brother, John "Buddy" Green and sister, Janice Morgan. Survived by his children: Monte (Robbie) Green and Conte (Dennis) Hackett, grandchildren: Katrina (Adam) Hicks, Jenna (Bobby) Jackson, Dustin (Kendal) Green, Keith (Elly) Hackett and Rachel (Nathan) Hoover, great-grandchildren: Hallie, Aaliyah and Isaac Hicks, Abel and Andy Jackson, Tuff and Bo Hackett, Maxx Hoover. Ray is also survived by his cat, P.D. along with many extended family and friends.

Ray was born November 16, 1936 in Madison, TN. He worked as a general contractor and deputy sheriff with the Sumner County Sheriff's Department. He was a man of God and loving family man, proud G-Daddy, and a good friend. Ray will be dearly missed by his family and by all who knew him.

A Life Celebration service for Ray will be held at Hendersonville Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 11:00am, officiated by Jeff Lake. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 24, from 4:00pm-8:00pm and one hour prior to service on Wednesday. Burial will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will include: Dustin Green, Keith Hackett, Adam Hicks, Bobby Jackson, Nathan Hoover, Alex Rappuhn, Joe Lancaster and Guy Morgan. The Sumner County Sheriff's Department will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
