Age 30 of Gallatin, Tennessee passed away on the evening of September 10, 2015.
Nicholaus was a sensitive and kindhearted man who loved kids, especially, his own son James. He traveled to several destinations around the country and two of the cities he visited were Las Vegas and Pittsburgh. He was a Tennessee Titans fan despite his family's heritage as avid Pittsburgh Steelers fans. He cheered on the University of Tennessee's Vols when he watched college football. Watching action-packed movies was one Nick's favorite pass times. On the other hand, he also enjoyed cooking shows on the Food Network. He not only enjoyed watching the shows, but loved to whip up creations of his own in the kitchen for others to enjoy.
He was a sharp dressed man who enjoyed putting a little "bling-bling" on to catch the eyes of others in public. His musical taste was as varied as the programs he enjoyed on television; he liked both rap and country music.
Nick was a gentle and loving soul despite life's many challenges. A little over two years ago, Nick lost his father and it was a loss that impacted him greatly. We all take comfort in knowing that Nick now enjoys the company of all those who have gone on before him.
Nicholaus is preceded in death by his father, Thomas J. Krens; maternal grandparents, Dorothy and Melvin Brown; paternal grandparents, Lorraine and Robert Krens; Samantha the Golden Retriever; and Nicole the Dalmatian.
Nick leaves behind his son, James Charles Palmer; mother, Diane Krens; aunts and uncles, Linda and Dave Malinovsky, Cindy Khalil, Robert and Angie Krens, Donald and Marlene Krens; and several cousins.
The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 from 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. The visitation will take place at HENDERSONVILLE FUNERAL HOME 353 E. Main Street, Hendersonville, TN 37075 (615) 824-3855 hendersonvillefh.com
