Nicholas "Pop" Rapheal passed on to his heavenly reward on the evening of November 7, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was eighty-seven.

Nicholas served his country proudly during the Korean War in the United States Army. He was most proud of his courageous and sacrificial service and this was seconded only to the pride he took in his family. His love of family was always clear and apparent.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Rapheal; brother, Barney; sister, Ethel; wife, Marguerite; and the mother of his children, Juanita Rapheal Hale. Mr. Rapheal is survived by his son, Nick (Jacque) Rapheal; daughters, Connie Rapheal Brown, Tammy (Bob) Sircy, Jennifer Hunt; a host of grand and great-grandchildren; and sister, Dessie (William) Kopka.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Rapheal's honor to the Hendersonville V.F.W. Post 9851 Veterans Food Pantry, 73R New Shackle Island Road, Hendersonville, TN 37075. Please be sure to note your donation in memory of Nicholas Rapheal.

The family will receive friends Thursday, November 10, 2016 from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. with a Celebration of Life following visitation at 6:00 p.m. All will be held at Hendersonville Funeral Home, 353 E. Main Street, Hendersonville, TN 37075. Inurnment will take place privately at a later date in Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
