Nancy Howard Manis

Nancy Howard Manis of Hendersonville, Tennessee passed away on November 24, 2023.  She was born in Savannah, Georgia to the late Dorris and Moses Howard.  Nancy is also preceded in death by her son, Chip Manis.  She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Charlie Manis; children, Christy Manis and David Manis (Jodi); and grandchildren, Jason Blue Manis and Piper Manis.

Nancy was a graduate from West High School in Knoxville, Tennessee.  She furthered her education by attending classes at the University of Tennessee and Middle Tennessee State University.  Nancy was savvy and business minded which helped in her entrepreneurial endeavors in real estate.

With an outgoing personality and an extraordinary gift for gab, Nancy possessed the rare ability to engage anyone in thought-provoking conversations.  Nancy easily made new friends wherever she went, and was always there for her friends whenever they needed support or a shoulder to lean on.

Alongside her husband Charlie, she enjoyed boating and exploring the world.  Her greatest joy and biggest accomplishment was her family.  Nancy was a devoted wife, loving mother, and doting grandmother.

Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. with a one hour visitation being held prior to the service at Hendersonville Funeral Home.  Burial will take place at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
