Nancy Corinne “Nan” Hester passed away peacefully November 6th, 2021. She was pre-deceased by her parents Luther and Mabyn Hickman and brother Ronald Hickman. She is survived by the love of her life, Bill Hester, and daughters: Angie, (Robbie), Amie (Mickey), and Amanda (Bryan). She was blessed with eight grandchildren: Cole, Wyatt, Eli, Will, Ellie, Calvin, Graceyn, and Jude.
Our Nancy had a quality only a Christian servant would have - a “fearless heart.” She was unafraid when it came to professing her faith to her daughters and grandchildren, as well as others, through “Missions in Action” and the Mother’s Day Out program for children. She also taught Sunday school to 1st and 2nd grade children. This precious woman was always quick to volunteer to help anyone in need. She never missed an opportunity to share her faith with anyone.
She was a wonderful example to her family and friends by always letting her light shine during good times and difficult times. We loved her child-like sense of humor and that beautiful radiant smile of hers.
Her fearless heart was on display again when she endured a three-year battle with cancer. With her light shining, she faced it knowing it could only damage her body, but could not affect her deep abiding faith in Jesus Christ and defeated cancer in the end when she was told by her Savior, “Well done, My good and faithful servant.”
We will celebrate this sweet servant’s life on November 11th at 11:00 AM in the chapel of First Baptist Church of Hendersonville (106 Bluegrass Commons Blvd., Hendersonville, TN 37075). Visitation with the family will be one hour prior beginning at 10:00 AM. There will be a private graveside service for immediate family only.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Wonderful Life Foundation, which was so close to Nancy’s heart. Donations may be made at wonderfullifefoundation.org.
