Inger Rasmussen, age 85 of Hendersonville, passed away on January 14, 2015.
Mrs. Rasmussen was born on May 2, 1930 in Odense, Denmark.
She was best known to her grandchildren as "Farmor". She enjoyed laughing with them when trying to teach them Danish. She was very proud of her heritage and always enjoyed going back to Denmark for visits. She worked for more than 10 years as a nanny and was very devoted to the children. She also enjoyed swimming at the YMCA.
Mrs. Rasmussen is preceded in death by her husband, Knud Rasmussen.
She leaves behind her children, Allan T. (Christine) Rasmussen, Stig T. (Hilda) Rasmussen, Anne T. (Michael) Rasmussen Farebee, and Mogens (Nina) Pederson; grandchildren Stig "Toft" Rasmussen, Samantha T. Rasmussen, and Maxwell T. Rasmussen; sisters, Erna, Bitten, Einer and Joergen; brother, Hans Aage; and her beloved dog "Leo".
A Life Celebration will be held on Sunday, January 18, at 4:00pm in the Chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be on Sunday from 2:00 - 4:00 in the chapel. The family asks memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society PO Box 22718
