Mrs. Carolyn Medeiros

Carolyn Marie Medeiros - Age 75 of Hendersonville, TN, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at home surrounded by family after a year- long battle with metastatic breast cancer.
Born in Middleboro, MA, she attended local schools, graduated as valedictorian of the Class of ‘57 from Memorial High School, and attended Bryant & Stratton Secretarial College in Boston. In 1959 she married her high school sweetheart, Francis Medeiros and in 1960 began raising a family as her husband's career with DuPont moved them around the country. She was a dedicated homemaker but preferred to be called a ‘domestic engineer'.
Carolyn will be fondly remembered for her deep love for her family, her thoughtfulness in remembering birthdays and her generosity to numerous charities. Her grandchildren will miss their joyful Nina's hugs and infectious laugh. She will be also missed by her long-time fellow parishioners at Our Lady of the Lake Church.
Preceded in death by her parents, Clarence M. and Doris (Dionne) Marshall and brother, Gerald Marshall. Survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Francis J. Medeiros; sons Michael (Donna), Jay (Debbie) and Jonathan (Janet) Medeiros and daughter Lynne(Troy) Fisher; grandsons Joshua(Caitlin), Christopher(Stephanie), Ryan, Jacob and John Medeiros; granddaughters Jennifer (Jonathan) Prenares and Jordyn, Jessica, Jelena, and Sarah Medeiros; 5 great-grandchildren; 3 nieces; sisters-in law, Madelyn Medeiros and Linda Marshall; her dog Chloe; many extended family members and friends.
A Mass will be held 11am Saturday at Our Lady of the Lake with private burial to follow. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service at the church.
