Montra Vernon

VERNON, Montra Sue, Age 94 of Hendersonville, passed away April 2, 2013. She was born to the late John Burton and Mamie Ann Burton on June 26th, 1918. She married the late Norman Trousdale Vernon and they lived together in Nashville, TN until she relocated to Hendersonville for the remainder of her life. Sue is survived by 3 children, John Vernon, Norman "Sonny" Vernon, Maryanne Poole; 3 grandchildren, John Poole, Debbie Scannapieco and Dale Vernon and 8 great-grandchildren; siblings, Lovie Louise, John Rufus Burton, Jr., Mary Russell, & Norma Jean Petre. Ms. Sue Vernon was an active member of Hendersonville Church of Christ. She was an avid bowler, gardener and loved sewing. Sue had a beautiful heart and soul. She loved people and taking care of them was what she did best. A graveside service will be held at 2pm Thursday at Spring Hill Cemetery in Madison. Visitation will be Wednesday 4pm – 9pm Wednesday at Hendersonville Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Christian Manor Senior Citizen Home in Hendersonville.
