Age 44 of Hendersonville went to be with the Lord on May 2, 2015.
Though Mitzi's passing was unexpected she lived life to the fullest to the end. She was a member of the 1988 graduating class of Beech High School. Traveling was something she enjoyed very much, and she especially loved the beach. She was passionate about the cooking channel, loved working in her flower beds, and was an avid golfer, but only enjoyed playing golf with the men. She found her calling working with those in need as a caregiver. In her work with the elderly, the beauty of her gentle soul was made manifest. Over the course of her life she accomplished many things, but she was most proud of being a loving mother to her son Cody. Mitzi touched the lives of many. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Preceded in death by her grandmother Lucille March.
Survived by her son Cody Fisher; her proud parents, Rudy and Camilla Fisher; her brothers, Michael and Matthew Fisher; her grandfather, Hugh March; niece, Carleigh Fisher; the love of her life, Sam Rapczak; partners in crime, Leisa Bandy Campbell and Paula "Pete" Ralph Martin; Cody's father Jeff Stangenberg and stepmother Tina; and her good friend Shawna Winham, who was always there for her.
A life celebration will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2015 in the chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home with Minister Jon Micah Richardson officiating.
