Minnie Sue Warren was relieved of her earthly sufferings and entered her heavenly reward on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at the age of eighty-seven.

Known as Miss Minnie to many, she began her earthly life's journey on March 11, 1929 and she grew into a woman remembered for numerous beautiful qualities. She will live on in our memories as a hard-working, unpretentious, meek, and humble woman who was never known to argue or hold grudges against anyone. Her humility was an example for all of us and it was wonderfully manifested in her sweet personality. Minnie was a life-long member of the Lutheran Church, and although she held her faith close to her heart, her life in Christ was lived out clearly in her actions.

As a hard-working woman, she was a dedicated employee with South Central Bell for forty years. Though she held a full-time position with the telephone company as an operator and later in the telephone directory department, she worked almost every evening at the drive-in movie theater that she and her husband owned. They owned four different drive-ins throughout South Carolina. Somehow she managed to operate on less hours of sleep than the average person. Her days at the telephone company began at eight o'clock sharp and her evenings at the drive-in often didn't conclude until midnight or even later. To say that she worked hard would truly an understatement.

In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, solving crossword puzzles, playing solitaire, and watching the occasional television program. Over the years Minnie regularly crocheted items which she gave as gifts for Christmas, she'll be especially remembered for her afghans. At a young age she became a stock car racing enthusiast and soon became a NASCAR fan. Minnie was particularly fond of Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and Joey Logano's talent behind the wheel on America's many racetracks. She enjoyed the sounds of Elvis Presley among other artists. When it came to her tastes in cuisine, she could always go for a rack of ribs or a plate of catfish.

She was preceded in death by her parents, "Coot" and Nora Minick; sister, Mamie Lee Minick; and her faithful and loving husband of fifty years, Stan Warren. Minnie leaves behind her sister, Gloria (Bob) Poole; nieces, Malinda (Jason) Gray, Stacie (Jeff) Fisk, Patty Turner; nephews, Nolan and Dean Bedenbaugh; great-nieces, Madison Gray and Ava Fisk; great-nephews, Chase and Josh Gray; and many other extended family members and treasured friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 18, 2016 from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. and again on Saturday, November 19, 2016 from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. A Celebration of Minnie's Life will follow visitation on Saturday at 11 a.m. All will be held at Hendersonville Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
