Minnie Scott, formerly of Hendersonville, TN passed into the arms of the Lord on Saturday, December 9, 2017 in Alabaster, AL. Minnie was born September 28, 1925 in Bridgeport, AL, daughter of the late Walker and Mae (Williams) Martin. Minnie was part of the greatest generation and devoted much of her early years selling war bonds in high school and working with the Manhattan Project in Oakridge, TN. Minnie had a passion for gardening and flowers, and loved spending time outside tending to her flower beds. She had a strong faith and love for God, and raised her children to be strong in the faith as well. Minnie was proudly married to the late Alfred Scott for 56 years and they loved spending time together building and remodeling homes. They also had a direct hand in helping to raise many of their grandchildren. Minnie is survived by her 3 children, Robert (Sheri) Scott, Rebecca Webster and Timothy (Lee) Scott; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; sister, Louise (Thomas) Edwards. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Scott Lane and brothers, Glenn and James Martin. Family will receive friends on Saturday, December 16 from 1-2pm at the Hendersonville Funeral Home (353 E. Main St; Hendersonville, TN 37075) where a funeral service will follow at 2pm. Entombment will immediately follow the funeral service at Hendersonville Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Those bestowed with the honor of serving as pallbearers will be Robert Scott, Timothy Scott, James Scott, Robert Webster, Adam Kowalczyk, John Melton and Ray Smith.
