Mike Carey

James Michael Carey, age 61, passed away on November 7, 2024 in Hendersonville, Tennessee. He was born on November 16, 1962 in Newport News, Virginia. Mike is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Smith Carey; grandparents, Louis Francis Carey, Lois Carmen Carey, Ruth Smith, and Norwood Smith. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mimi Carey; children, Michelle Williams (Denver), Kristian Hageman (Dean), and Brycen Carey (Julianna); grandchildren, Bailey, Kaitlyn, Jordan, Alexander, Kindell, and Elijah; great-grandchild, Zoe Paige; father, James “Jim” Carey (Nola); and siblings, Cyndi Knight (Dan) and Jeni Carey Parker (John).

Mike was a graduate of Lakeland High School. He enjoyed riding motorcycles with friends, slot cars, CB radios, and his C10 trucks. His favorite tasty treats were sushi, naner puddin, and drinking sweet tea. Mike had a passion for guns and talking about conspiracy theories.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Hendersonville Funeral Home (353 E. Main St., Hendersonville, Tennessee 37075).
