Michele Elise Maier

Michele Elise Maier of Hendersonville, Tennessee passed away on October 26, 2024 at the age of 62. Michele was born on February 3, 1962 to William F. Goehrig and Joan Goehrig in Jersey City, New Jersey.

Michele was a proud graduate of St. Mary's High School in Jersey City.

Michele’s interests painted a vibrant picture of her life. She loved reading books, watching football games, and going on vacations. Her fondness for the beach and the ocean was matched only by her appreciation for the natural beauty of the world around her. Whether she was enjoying the calming sounds of the waves or exploring new places, Michele found joy in the little moments life offered.

A kind-hearted soul, Michele demonstrated her compassion through numerous acts of volunteering and generosity. She was known for her willingness to help those in need, embodying the true spirit of community by often saying she would give the shirt off her back for someone in distress.

Michele is survived by her husband of 38 years, Wilhelm "Bill" Maier; her sons, Michael William Maier and Christopher Paul Maier (Rebecca Cozzi Maier); her granddaughter, Anna Elizabeth Maier; her parents, William F. Goehrig and Joan Goehrig; her sister AnnaMarie (Goehrig) Lehr; and her brother, William A. Goehrig. 

Michele Elise Maier will be remembered as a radiant spirit whose warmth and kindness touched many lives. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends, whose memories of her will live on as a testament to the love she shared and the lives she enriched.
