Michael Paul Looney, age 32, of Hendersonville, passed away on October 12, 2014.
When asked what best described Michael the first words that come to mind are big hearted, kind, adventurous and giving. He loved sports of any kind, meeting new people and making them laugh. It wasn't hard to find him on the weekends, he would either be watching NASCAR, catching up on the latest wrestling match, or spending time at the lake fishing and camping with friends. He was always up for a little yard selling and antique shopping with his mother and taking lil' Steven to play football and basketball with the guys. Growing up Michael had many influential people, but those who really help shape his life were his grandfather Bobby, brother Jeremy and sister Blythe from church. During his life some of Michael's favorite places where Bristol Speedway and anywhere he could be with his friends, however his favorite place of all was at home with his mother and family. When picturing his life his family said it would be a beautiful football field close to the Bristol Speedway with a tent, a bonfire and all of his family and friends listening to his three favorite songs, Drunk on a Plane, The Dance and Cruise. Michael had a passion for Madden Football and Traditions, he never missed an opportunity to say "Happy Birthday" or to make sure everyone was together to celebrate the holidays. Most of all Michael was known for loving his mother. Not a day went by that he wouldn't tell her he loved her and would do anything he could to make sure he helped anyway possible.
