Buck Willey of Hendersonville, TN, formerly of Shelbyville, MO passed away Friday, July 6, 2018 in Hendersonville. Buck was born March 4, 1939 in Shelbyville, MO, son of the late Merrill and Myrtle (Rembusch) Willey. Buck was a faithful and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a tireless worker his entire life and a true do-it-yourselfer; if Buck couldn't fix it, it couldn't be fixed! As a lifelong telephone company employee, he always provided for his family and found a way to persevere and thrive through any struggle life would throw at him. Buck was a man of few words, but could go from silence to having you in stiches with one of his perfectly timed one-liners. He had a quiet but strong faith in Jesus, especially in his later years. In his spare time, Buck loved hunting and spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids even more. They had him wrapped around their finger.
In December 27, 1957 Buck was united in marriage to his loving and faithful wife of over 60 years, Kathleen (Mann) Willey, who survives. Also surviving are his 3 children, Rick (Karen) Willey, Randy Willey (Liane Kennedy) and Rob (Becky) Willey; grandchildren, Shari (Troy) Rader, Sheila (Aaron) Wilson, Susie (Jay) Jessup, Scott (Carmen) Willey, Sam (Mallory) Willey, Jessica (Dan) Devine, Julia (Kevin) Fahy and Anna Willey, Bryan (Jenni) Johnson; 16 great grandchildren with 2 more on the way; sisters, Hazel Marie Kesner and Linda (Junior) Lake; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, Buck was also preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Willey.
Family will receive friends on Monday, July 9th from 10-11am at the Indian Lake Peninsula Church (235 Indian Lake Rd; Hendersonville, TN 37075) where a celebration of life will follow at 11am. Burial will take place following the service at Hendersonville Memory Gardens with a fellowship luncheon following back at the church.
