May Carter

CARTER, May Bell age 94 passed away on November 2, 2009.Mrs. Carter was active in the community for senior citizens and meals on wheels. She was a mother to all and her hobby was fishing. She was a member of the Waverly Central High School class of 1936. She was a Methodist by faith but attended the Church of Christ for over 20 years. Mrs. Carter retired from Nashville Linen and Washington Manufacturing. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Luck Carter; brothers, Harvell L. Davis, James A. Davis, William J. Davis; sister, Odell Johnson. She is survived by her brother, Herbert Glen Mary Davis; sister-in-law, Jean Davis and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be on Wednesday November 4, 2009 at 2:30 pm at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home with Jason Allison officiating. Interment will follow in the Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers, Honorary pallbearers will be Waverly Central High class of 1936. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-8 pm and on Wednesday from 11-2:30 at HARPETH HILLS FUNERAL HOME, 9090 HWY 100, 615 646-9292.
