Matthew Marques

Matthew Isidoro Marques, age 40, passed away on February 1, 2022.

He was born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on January 12, 1982.

Matthew graduated from Notre Dame High School where he played baseball and was a member of the ski club. He later attended University of Texas where he played for the Longhorns, then advanced to the minors for the Orioles organization. He graduated with a bachelors degree from Lime University and attended Life University for Chiropractic school.

He and Amanda Marques were together for 5 years and married on March 27, 2021. They enjoyed traveling together, and spending time with their daughter, Lawsen Marques. Matthew also enjoyed watching sports with his friends and driving his fast car. Matthew umpired for several years with the Big 12 and ACC conferences.

Matthew worked as a health and life insurance agent for 3 years, and spent his free time coaching travel baseball for the 12 and 14 year old Red Birds Organization.

He is preceded in death by father, Antonio Marques; his paternal grandparents, Eurico and Albertina Marques and maternal grandparent, Arlindo Isidoro.

Matthew is survived by wife, Amanda Marques; daughter, Lawsen Marques; mother, Alice Marques; brother, Jason Marques and wife, Julie Marques; niece, Eliana Marques; grandmother, Irene Isidoro.

Funeral service will be held at Hendersonville Memory Gardens, Funeral Home on Monday, February 7, 2022 at 12 P.M. Visitation with friends and family will begin and 10 A.M.
