Mrs. Mary Maxine Exline age 76, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2020.

Mrs. Exline was born in Sparta, TN, on April 12, 1943, the daughter of the late Pete Smith and Anna Lee Dodson Smith. She and her husband started Hendersonville Cruise In. and are honorary members of Sumner County Vintage Car Vehicle Club. Mrs. Exline worked many years as a supervisor with Senior Lab. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Exline was preceded in death by a grandson, Cory Elliott and five brothers, James, Tom, Paul, John, and Billy Smith.

Survivors include her husband, Lyle Merle Exline, to whom she was married on April 14, 1973; two daughters, Barbara Elliott and Denise Exline-Gregory; a son, Eddie (Dana) Exline; five grandchildren, Colby (Montana) Elliott, Jennifer Exline, Amber (Adam) Gettum, Nick Exline, and Cortney (Paul) McKnight; fifteen great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Smith; and two sisters, Anna Johnson and Helen (Buddy) West. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 11, 2020, at 2:00 P.M., Hendersonville Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.

Gathering of Family & Friends will be Friday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Saturday from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Hendersonville Funeral Home.
