Mary Elizabeth England- age 79 passed away July 13, 2015.
She was born in Hendersonville, TN on July 26, 1935 to the late Luther and Irene Alred. As a young woman Mary began a career with MGM Industries and was a devoted employee for 44 years. Though her official title was Shipping Manager, she helped wherever help was needed. Outside of work she enjoyed playing Bingo and going to casinos. Her favorite flowers were roses and her favorite color was blue. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be deeply missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Haydon Lee England, Jr.; son, Dale England; brothers, Bill Alred of Dixon Springs and James Alred of Bethpage and sister, Betty Ruth Dean of Hendersonville.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Hale of Hendersonville, and Carol (Paul) Canaday of Gallatin; son, Dean (Teresa) England of Portland; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ollie Lee (Theodore) Willette of Lafayette and Joyce (Gary) Conyer of Lafayette.
A celebration of Mary's life will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 4p.m. at Hendersonville Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
