Mary Ann Clinard of Gallatin, TN was born on May 3, 1935 and passed away on October 20, 2014. Mary Ann graduated from East High School, class of 1952. Immediately after her graduation, she married her life-long partner Fred L. Clinard, Sr. sharing 61 years of life with him before his passing in February 2014. She is also preceded in death by her parents Howard C. Robertson and Mildred Walker (Robertson) Clinard and a sister, Sarah Claire Robertson.

Mary Ann worked outside the home much of life including serving as an operator for AT&T very early in their marriage, employee and manager of Nashville Asbury Credit Union, Director of Accounting for Educational Corporation of America and, in her retirement years, customer service representative at a local Belk store. She is a dedicated Christian serving her beloved church homes, Donelson Heights UMC and City Road UMC as Sunday school teacher, youth leader, adult Sunday school class teacher, and along with her husband, a committed choir member and other volunteer opportunities.

Mary Ann is survived by her daughter, Cynthia C. Thompson (Ralph), son, Fred L. Clinard, Jr.; grandsons, R.J. Thompson (Crystal), C. Matthew Clinard(fiancée, Heather), Ryne N. Clinard (Sarah), and Jonathan L. Clinard (Catie); great-grandchildren, Luke Edward Thompson and Lillian Ruth Clinard; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.

The grandsons, Bill Howard and Clyde Wright will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Living Word Sunday school Class at City Road Chapel UMC and nephew, John Matthews. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to city Road Chapel UMC Choir fund, American Cancer Society or charity of choice.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23, 4-7 pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, October 24 at 11:00 a.m. at City Road Chapel UMC in Madison, TN with the Rev. Jay Voorhees and the Rev Ed Pugh conducting the service. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service.
