Mary Claybrooke

Mary Elizabeth Yancey Claybrooke, 92, passed away peacefully on Saturday February 18, 2012, in Gallatin, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late Bessie Peed and Hugh Yancey of Mays Lick, Kentucky.Born in Mays Lick, Kentucky, on August 31, 1919, Mrs. Claybrooke was pre-deceased by her husband David Lewis Claybrooke, brother Hugh Yancey, Jr, and son David Lewis Claybrooke, Jr. The deceased is survived by her daughter Barbara Claybrooke Harover Pierce, of Hendersonville, Tennessee, daughter-in-law Cheri Strode Claybrooke of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, niece Catherine Yancey Southworth Richard of Austin, Texas, sisters Josephine Yancey and Dorothy Yancey Sohl of Lexington, Kentucky. Grandchildren: Lynn Harover Takacs Tim, Laura Harover Lessley, Nelson Harover, Amy Claybrooke Vinson Jim, Emily Claybrooke Jenkins David. Great grandchildren: Jeremy Lessley, Jordan Russell, Brittany Russell, Heidi Harover, Adam Harover, Luke Vinson, Cale Vinson, Harper Jenkins and Hunter Jenkins. Mrs. Claybrooke was a member of the Bluegrass Baptist Church in Hendersonville, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bluegrass Baptist Church library. A graveside service will be held at the Mays Lick Cemetery in Mays Lick, Kentucky on Wednesday February 22, 2012 at 2:00pm est.
