Mary Burnett Age 78 of Hendersonville passed away August 9, 2014.
Mrs. Burnett was a wonderful lady with a great sense of humor that loved to laugh. She was very outgoing woman who had never met a stranger in her life and also a wonderful friend and confidant. She loved giving her time to others, volunteering everywhere she could, being social, her church & spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren & great-grandsons. She was a survivor who fought Cancer for the past 20 years. She will always be remembered by the lives she touched.
Preceded in death by her Identical twin, Mary Alice Carpenter Sharer; husband, Jack Burnett; parents, Mary Lou Shanear Carpenter & Ellis Carpenter. Survived by her husband, George Fossey; children, Barrie Hollins (Steve), Missie Hewgley & Sallyanne Fossey; grandchildren, Landon Hollins, Kelley Ballentine (Cody), Stevie Hewgley & Michael Barber; great-grandsons, Trystan Ballentine & Parker Ballentine; several nieces, nephews, & friends.
A Life Celebration will be held 10:30am Tuesday at St. Joseph of Armithea Episcopal Church with entombment to follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held 4:00pm - 7:00pm Monday at the church.
