Mrs. Martha Jean Browning Stamper age 76, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2019.
Mrs. Stamper was born in Elizabethton, TN, on November 29, 1943, the daughter of the late Jasper Calvin "JC" Browning and Louise Russell Browning. She graduated from Elizabethton High School in 1961 where she wrote their Alma Mater. Mrs. Stamper received her music degree from Carson Newman University in 1965 and later did graduate work at East TN State University. She was a member of Hendersonville First Baptist Church where she played the flute in the orchestra. Mrs. Stamper was a realtor for the last twenty-five years and was former president of the Women's Council of Realtors for TN. She was an accomplished pianist and flutist. Mrs. Stamper loved animals especially dogs and enjoyed going to the Blue Ridge mountains and Carolina beaches.
Survivors include her husband, James "Jim" Stamper; three sons, Todd Stamper, Eric (Cristin) Stamper, and Matt (Maggie) Stamper; a sister, Sylvia (Bob) Haynes; and seven grandchildren, Taylor, Mackenzie, Reid, Sawyer, Emma, Castiel, and Beckett.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, December 15, 2019, at 2:00 P.M., Hendersonville Funeral Home.
Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Saturday from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M at Hendersonville Funeral Home.
