Martha Harris

Harris, Martha Gene Neyland- Oct. 25, 2009. Born June 17, 1926 to Ruth and Lamar Neyland in Cuero, TX. Gene graduated from Austin High School and the University of Texas where she earned a bachelor's degree in Child Development and was a member of Delta Gamma sorority. She was an avid bridge player and cook into her eighties and was a member of the Centennial Club, the Windemere Garden Club, and the Medical Auxiliary. She adored babies, children, animals, and her family. Her warmth, loving good nature, and sense of humor will be sadly missed. Survived by husband of 61 years, Jackson Harris, M.D., son Jackson Harris, Jr. Charlotte, daughters Ginger Harris Eby, Julie Harris Anderson Jim, and Jeanne Harris Broadwell Mike; grandchildren Ginny Harris Brown Mike, Sarah Harris Jarvis Scott, Kristin Eby, Jackson Eby Erin, James and Russell Anderson, and John and Jackson Broadwell. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Belmont Village and Richland Place Health Center. Visitation will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church on Thursday, Oct. 29th from 10:30-11:30 am with the Memorial service to follow immediately.
