Martha S. Frank, age 82 of Hendersonville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 19, 2018, surrounded by her family in the comfort of her home. Preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Sallie Self, sisters, Joyce Deeb and Mary Holmes. Survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Gustave "Dutch", children, Terry Cross (Dena), Wayne Cross (Joyce), Randall Cross (Kimberli), Sharra Palm (Don) and Clayton Frank. Loving Nanny to Heather Cross, Christopher Cross (Lori), Shawn Cross, Ryan Cross (Blake), Calli Cross and Patricia Thomas (Kevin), along with 10 great-grandchildren. Martha is also survived by her brother, John C. Self, Jr. and sister, Tena Page along with many extended family and friends.

Martha was born on May 18, 1936 in Byron, Georgia. She worked for 22 years with U-Haul Rental Systems and for 12 years as an Executive Secretary for Marrel Corporation, where she retired. Outside of work, Martha was dedicated to raising her family and being a special "Nanny" to her grandchildren. She enjoyed floral gardening and had several gardens at her home. Martha was an exceptional cook and loved to bake. Her family unanimously chose her Banana Pudding as their favorite. Martha was a God fearing, compassionate, selfless woman and strong maternal figure who prayed every day, looking out for her family. Her family also described her as being insightful and elegant. Martha will be dearly missed by her family and by all those that knew her.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Hendersonville Funeral Home on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 1:00PM, officiated by Elder Timothy Gibson. Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, May 24th from 4:00PM - 8:00PM, and again on Friday, one hour prior to the service time. The family will have a private graveside service for Martha following the chapel service.
