Martha Bogle

Martha Sue Bogle, age 92, of Madison, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021.

She was born to the late George and Josie Sutherland on July 14, 1929.

Martha retired at 70 years of age as a dedicated worker of Dupont in Old Hickory, Tennessee of 44 years. She loved music and played piano and danced.  Martha enjoyed the outdoors, and her yard was filled with her passion for gardening and flowers. She enjoyed spending time with John, watching game shows and football games.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Keller B. McCrary; sisters, Cecelia Hickok and Louise Potts; brothers, George W. Sutherland and Clay Sutherland.

Martha is survived by husband, John Bogle; daughters, Debbie (Fred) Pounders and Teresa (Bruce) Bryant; grandchildren; Lori Bryant and Michael Harrison; one great-granddaughter, Kyleigh Grieve; two blended children, Brad (Candice) Pounders, and Laurel (Jason) Brewster; five blended grandchildren; Shelby Johnson, Autumn Brewster, Nikolas Pounders, Carlie Pounders and Brooks Pounders. She was blessed to have added John’s son, John Michael (Quincie) Bogle, as well as 3 grandchildren to her family, Winston Bogle, James Bogle and Mis-ellie Bogle.

Donations in honor of Martha may be made to Adoration Hospice and Alzheimer’s Association.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 P.M. on Friday, October 8, 2021 at Hendersonville Funeral Home, 353 East Main Street, in Hendersonville. Visitation with the family will begin on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 2 P.M. until 7 P.M. and again on Friday, October 8, 2021 from 12 P.M. until service time.
