Psalm 116:15
"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints."
Mark Von Stewart, age 55, went home to be with his heavenly Father on December 3, 2018. Born December 11, 1962 to the late O.G. and Ingrid Stewart.
Mark's career was in construction tooling sales and he was a leader in the commercial division of Lowe's in Madison, TN. It was Lowe's and his colleagues that honored Mark with an award of "Grace under Fire" as he entered a nine year battle with cancer but still accomplished extraordinary advances for his company.
Mark was a man of strong faith, believing in the power and strength of Jesus Christ's love and the beauty and peace of nature.
Mark was a precious, Godly man of great honor that loved much and was loved by everyone. He served with a devoted heart for ten years as a deacon in his local church. His purpose in life was to love, to serve Christ and to cherish and protect his family. He always made sure his family and friends knew the love he had for them through words and actions.
Mark's talents were many, he was an outdoorsman, craftsman, gourmet cook and gardener - giving away most of the food he grew.
A beloved husband, father and grandfather, Mark enjoyed cooking for his family and friends, taking care of his many farm animals, fishing, camping and spending time with those dear to him. He truly had a servant's heart.
Mark leaves to cherish his loving memory, his devoted wife of nineteen years, JoniLea Stewart; son, Zac Stewart; son, Shane Clifton (Nehkeya); grandchildren, Matthew and Adison Clifton; brother, David Stewart; sister, Kathleen Stewart and a host of nephews and nieces.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Joelton Baptist Church, Parkway Baptist Church and to their many friends and family that have walked faithfully by their side through nine years of tragedies and miracles. Mark courageously and without complaint endured all, while experiencing the love and grace of God.
Services will be held in Hendersonville, TN at Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Visitation will begin on Thursday, December 6th from 4-8 p.m. and Friday December 7th frim 1-2 p.m. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. by Pastor David Royalty with remembrances by Pastor Darin Miller.
In keeping with Mark's final wishes, the family requests that donations to Joelton Baptist Church in Joelton, TN be considered in lieu of flowers if desired.
