Marin Gabrielle Mayo, age 24 of Hendersonville passed away August 1, 2015. Marin blessed this world with her beautiful blue eyes and smile on October 8, 1990. Although quiet, she had a big laugh and an even bigger love for her family and friends. After fighting her best to overcome life's struggles, she went to rest in her eternal home.

Her engaging spirit will live on in the hearts and minds of her family, as well as her friends that she made during her time at Goodpasture Christian School and Lipscomb University. Her decision to be an organ donor gives us a glimpse of her caring nature and willingness to help others. Although she will be dearly missed, this selfless act will ensure that her spirit will remain alive not only in our memories, but here on earth as well. Marin was preceded in death by her grandmother, Ruth Mayo; grandfather, Jeral Gregory; and aunts, Donna Hawkins and Janet Mayo. She is survived by her loving parents, Randy and Vickie Mayo; sister, Milan Mayo Whatley (Hugh); grandfather, Homer Mayo; grandmother, Beulah Gregory; aunts, Sandra Hulan and Janice Mayo; uncles, Michael Mayo (Lolita), Wayne Gregory (Sharon), and Robert Gregory (Martha); and numerous wonderful cousins and friends. A Celebration of Marin's Life will be held on Friday, August 7th at 12:00 Noon from the W.F. Ruhl Fine Arts Center at Goodpasture Christian School. Entombment will follow in the Hendersonville Memory Gardens Chapel of Memories Mausoleum. Visitation with the family will be on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to the service, all at Goodpasture.
