Marian S. Pasinger, 90, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023, with her family by her side. Marian was born on March 2, 1933, to Simon A. and Rose Evelyn (George) Simon in Omaha, Nebraska.
She retired from AT&T at the age of 62 after thirty-five years of service to the company. She lived a full life in her retirement years with a strong focus on her family. Marian loved reading historical novels, her Bible, and the Jesus Calling Devotional. She loved people and was a caregiver to everyone always putting others before herself. In short, she was a “giving soul”. Marian was a 50+ year member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hendersonville serving as an elder twice and was a member of the Sunshine Club. Marian’s favorite role was being a loving wife, mom, and grandmother.
Marian is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Charles “Chuck” Pasinger, her parents; brother Bud Simon; and sisters Betty Phillips and Shirley Simon. She is survived by her children Robert (Janet) Pasinger, Sr., Joanne (Guy) Pridgen, and Thomas (Anna) Pasinger. In addition, she is survived by her grandsons Robert “BJ” Pasinger, Jr. and Charles E. “Chad” Pasinger, and her sister Barbara Stoner.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, from 5pm-7pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at 10am with visitation beginning at 9am. Burial will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, a contribution to the Disabled American Veterans or American Heart Association would be appreciated.
