Margarete French

Margarete Elizabeth "Liz" French age, 63, of Hendersonville passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2020 surrounded by her family. Liz was born on April 10,1957 on an army base in Germany. She was the daughter of Raymond and Margaret Barlow. Liz is survived by her son MichaelFrench (wife Nicole); granddaughter Aubrey French; mother Margaret Barlow of Hendersonville; sister Maria Thompson (spouse Raymond); and nephew Kyle Thompson (spouse Cindy).
A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2020 from 2-4 pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home. Liz spoke fluent German, loved German food, baking and visiting historic bakeries. She would have done anything for her family and friends, but she had a very
special bond with her only child, Michael. Liz also adored her granddaughter Aubrey, who loves her "Nana". Liz loved all things cats, especially her own Nitty and Sophie. Saturday shopping with her mother, hosting family dinners and big Christmas celebrations
with her family were among some of her favorite pastimes. Liz's second family was at Park Place Senior Living in Hendersonville, where she worked for fifteen years as a business manager. She loved her "work family" and the residents of Park Place as she did
her own family.
Liz was preceded in death by her husband Cecil P. Horn Jr., her father Raymond Barlow and her niece Gretta Thompson. Liz will be truly missed by her family and all who knew her.
