Margaret K. Vaughn, age 94, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, November 27, 2020. She was born on the first day of summer, June 21, 1926.
Margaret was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harry "Papa" Martin Vaughn, her parents Clint and Anna Lee Kelley, her brothers, Billy Kelley and Bobby Kelley, her sisters, Bernice Mealer, Ruth Lynn Piper, Patricia Stenseih, and Brenda Wade her daughters Holly Vaughn and Deborah Vaughn.
She is survived by her children Harry M. Vaughn, Jr., and Carolyn Gentry; grandchildren Christy Gentry, Tammy Milbrath, Kelley Hawkins, Martin Vaughn, Jennifer Pavlik, Angela Winkler, and Melody Nation; great grandchildren, Joshua Adcox, Tyler Milbrath, Matthew Adcox, Brittnee Crosson, Sadie Milbrath, Matthew Winkler, Jacob Collier, Richard Hawkins, Lauren Winkler, Brandon Nation, Heather Hawkins, and Lily Nation; several great, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Margaret "Mummaw" Kelley Vaughn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great, great grandmother to her family. She was a member of Hendersonville Presbyterian Church. She was a talented still life and landscape artist, a phenomenal cook and seamstress. She loved painting old two man saws, cast iron pieces and canvas. She was an avid collector of antiques. Her family says she is famous for her lasagna, homemade biscuits and strawberry and pear jams.
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2020, at 11:00 A.M., Hendersonville Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at Hendersonville Funeral Home.
