Margaret Rountree of Hendersonville, TN passed away at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, January 16, 2018. Margaret was born September 15, 1930 in Westmorland, TN, daughter of the late Swaney and Annie (Huntsman) Brown. Margaret was a graduate of Gallatin High School and was a long time member of the First Methodist Church. She loved being "Nanny" to her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. In her spare time, she was an avid golfer and loved traveling, especially to their winter home in Ft. Myers, FL. On June 16, 1950 Margaret was united in marriage to her loving and faithful husband of 67 years, Charles Rountree, Jr., who survives. Also surviving are her 3 children, Rebecca (Ralph) Keller, Charles (Pamela) Rountree, III and Doug (Lucinda) Rountree; grandchildren, Michael (Mystie) Keller, Justin Keller, Erica (Doug) Oliver, Douglas Rountree and Collin (Amanda) Rountree; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Hallie Ramey. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Family will receive friends on Friday, January 19, 2018 from 5-7pm at the Hendersonville Funeral Home (353 E. Main St; Hendersonville, TN 37075) where a memorial service will be held on Saturday at 11am. Private inurnment will take place at a later date at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
