Margaret Ann (Boyd) Green of Hendersonville, TN went home to the arms of God on Wednesday, August 23rd, 2017. She was born to the late Garard and Mildred White Boyd on February 7, 1933. She joins her late son Jerry Edward Green. She is survived by daughter Kristy Green McCorkle and her husband Christopher H. McCorkle as well as daughter in law Debbie Avant Green. She was the proud grandmother of Owen and Lee Green and the great-grandmother of Maddie, Morgan, Gus and Willa Green. She leaves behind her beloved sisters Beth Olive, Molly Edmondson, Nancy Rosso and Minerva Arnold.
Margaret loved the Lord and her family. She lived and taught the love and dependence on the Lord to her children and to her glory, laid down a path to salvation for her generations to come. Margaret loved selling Avon.
How do you describe a life in mere words? The task is fraught with emotion, memories and gaps in memories and the realization of our human limits to truly know those we love...as only our God can. Margaret Ann Green was a lover and she loved with an intensity that you could feel.
Margaret loved the Lord. If the church door was open she was there. If there was a need for food, gifts, or time to serve the Lord or help others - she was there.
Margaret loved her family. She would not miss a gathering, a cookie party, a Thursday at the pool, a trip to the beach with her sisters or any opportunity to spend time with her children, grandchildren or great-grandchildren. She sacrificed to give her children opportunities. Most importantly, she lived and taught the love and dependence on the Lord to her children and to her glory laid down a path to salvation for her generations to come. Could one wish for more...
Margaret loved time with friends, being a Red Hat Lady, sports and watching her Atlanta Braves, weekly trips to get her hair done, and lived by the principle what you could never have too many decorations for any holiday.
Margaret loved selling Avon. She was "The Avon Lady" for close to 40 years and it gave her great joy and provided for her family. She never met a stranger and could turn anyone into not just a customer but also a friend.
Margaret Ann will be missed...but we know where she has gone and rejoice in her happiness and peace in God's embrace.
