Lyle Thompson Teague, 87, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2023, in Hendersonville, TN. Lyle was born to O.D. Teague and Marie (Payne) Teague on September 18, 1935, in Selmer, Tennessee.
During elementary school, Lyle moved with his family to Oak Ridge, Tennessee where his father worked for the Manhattan Project. Lyle graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1952 and went on to the University of Tennessee Knoxville where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in 1957. After graduating, he served his country in the United States Army. Lyle worked 17 plus years as a manager for Sears starting in 1957 at the Nashville location. He worked at six different Sears locations and lived in several southeastern states. In 1984, Lyle founded the family business, Teague Moulding, which is still in operation. Lyle was a proud 50+ year resident of Hendersonville. Lyle loved to travel, especially to Italy and France to tour the museums and study the architecture of the countries. He loved his family and friends and will be greatly missed by them.
Lyle is preceded in death by his parents O.D. and Marie and his sister Janis Little. He is survived by his sons David Teague, Stan (Denise) Teague, and Steve (Cindy) Teague. In addition, he is survived by his grandson Joel Teague, close friend and care giver Beverly Teague, as well as his niece Terrie Warren and nephew Tommy Little.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023, from 11am-12pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 12pm with burial to follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
