Lt. Col. Berry O'Shields

Lt. Col. Berry R. O’Shields, age 88, died on July 19, 2022, after several months of illness. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Colleen; son, Michael; daughter-in-law, Jasmine; granddaughters, Isabella, Brooke, Sophie and Skylar; brothers-in-law, Bob Vann (Jenny), John Vann (Carolyn); sister-in-law, Joyce Martin (Andrew), and nieces and nephews.

A graduate of the Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina., Berry entered the Army as a 2nd Lt. in 1956 during his career he served in Korea and Vietnam. After 26 years, he retired with the rank of Lt. Col.

Berry served the community as a volunteer deputy for the Sumner County Sherriff Dept. since 2007.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at Hendersonville Funeral Home.

Military graveside service will be at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, July 27, 2022.
