Linda Gail Polk

Linda Gail Polk, age 74, passed away on August 27, 2023. She was born on February 17, 1949 in Hartsville, Tennessee to the late TW and Marian Shoulders.

She attended Hendersonville High School and graduated in the class of 1967. She was a member of Dickson Creek Baptist Church in Cato.

One of Linda's greatest passions was gardening. She had a green thumb and took great pride in cultivating beautiful flowers and plants. In addition to gardening, Linda had a love for travel. Beyond her green thumb and love of travel, Linda also had a knack for finding hidden treasures. She thoroughly enjoyed shopping for antiques—a hobby that brought her much delight over the years. Linda loved people and always went above and beyond for everyone.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, TW and Marian Shoulders of Hendersonville and her grandparents Goldie and Oakley Parker of Hartsville. She leaves behind cherished memories that will forever be treasured by her surviving family: husband of 44 years, Daniel "Dan" Polk; children, Todd Allen, Jeff Polk (Donnie), Chris Polk (Bridgett); grandchildren, Macie Warf (Tanner), Clayton Polk, Mary Kate Polk, and Tyler Hunter; and great-grandchild, Aubrey Elaine Warf; and siblings Ronnie Shoulders (Sally), Barry Shoulders (Cindy), and Pat Shoulders (Debbie).

The memory of Linda Gail Polk will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. 

 Visitation will take place on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and also on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Visitation services will be held at Hendersonville Memory Gardens, Funeral Home & Cremation Center located at 353 E Main St, Hendersonville, TN 37075.

A Funeral Service to honor Linda's life will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at Hendersonville Memory Gardens, Funeral Home & Cremation Center at 2:00 pm. Following the service, a burial ceremony will take place.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Linda's name to Alive Hospice.

Linda Gail Polk will forever be remembered as an extraordinary woman who brought love to everyone she encountered. Her spirit will continue to shine bright in our hearts.
