Linda Mitchell

Mrs. Linda Joyce Gregory Mitchell age 73, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2021.

Mrs. Mitchell was born in Nashville, TN, on August 19, 1947, the daughter of the late Herschel Gaston Gregory, Sr. and Rose Mary Watson Gregory. She was a parishioner at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Mrs. Mitchell enjoyed being a homemaker while her sons were growing up and then later was a produce manager at Cash Saver. She enjoyed watching her sons play sports, hummingbirds, dogs, football, hockey, and General Hospital. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by a son, Keith Allen Walker and three siblings, Nancy Slater, Herschel Gaston Gregory, Jr. and Jeanette Wolf.

Survivors include her husband, James “Bubba” Mitchell, to whom she was married on December 28, 1987; three sons, Phillip Walker (Kim), Jason Hall (Tracy), and  Drew Mitchell; daughter, Charity Miller (Kevin); grandchildren, Jaelin Hall, Kaleb Hall, Tanner Walker, Cierra Jansen,         and C.J. Snorton ; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Christine Ann Gregory Nelley. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, June 10, 2021, at 2:00 P.M., Hendersonville Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.

Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Wednesday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Hendersonville Funeral Home.
