Linda Gail Mann, of Cottontown, TN passed on to her heavenly reward on October 25, 2016 at the age of 57. Her passing was sudden and unexpected leaving us all in quite a state of mourning.
Linda will live on forever in our memory as loving, caring, giving, and stubborn. Her grandson and the light of her world, Benjamin brought her an immense joy which cannot be put into words. She loved every member of her family but showered a special grandmotherly love upon Benjamin. In fact, he was spoiled by his "Neenoo."
Having a giving spirit, Linda enjoyed making every member of the family a stocking to hang up for Christmas. It was a joyous occasion as the number of stockings grew with the addition of new family members. Benjamin actually received the biggest stocking of all! Christmas was a special time at which the whole family gathered for a meal and time together. She loved being with her family. Linda would prepare a meal for her family, at least a few times each month, where she had the opportunity to catch up on the lives of her children and grandson. These were the special meals where an extra effort was made by everyone to be present for quality family time.
In her spare time Linda enjoyed perusing yard sales and reading various books. She also enjoyed watching "The Bachelor" and many soap operas on television despite her family not sharing in this interest. When it came to music, Linda preferred the sounds of both traditional and contemporary Christian music, she especially loved The Isaccs. She also enjoyed cooking and will be remembered for her impeccable southern dishes; especially, her fried chicken. We will certainly miss the sounds of her chewing on ice cubes, which had become quite a habit in recent years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Lois Craig; and sister, Lori Ann Craig. Linda leaves behind her faithful and loving husband of thirty-four years, Thomas "Tommy" Mann; daughter, Heather (Matthew) Patton; son, Craig Mann; grandson, Benjamin Patton; and sister, Sue (Bobby) Cole.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 27, 2016 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. with a Celebration of Linda's Life commencing at noon. All will be held at Hendersonville Funeral Home, 353 E. Main Street, Hendersonville, TN 37075 hendersonvillefh.com 615-284-3855
