Linda Evelyn Dalton, age 79, passed away on February 18, 2023. She was born on October 26, 1943, in Model, Tennessee to the late Gordon and Jewell Greenup.
Linda is also preceded in death by her sister, Carol Boren; her brother, Chuck Greenup; her grandson, Timothy Michael Schlechty; and her great granddaughter, Arya Marie Schlechty. Linda is survived by her children, Aleta Meguiar (Mic), John Wainwright (Mechelle), Marshall Wainwright (Melissa), William Wainwright (Emily), Evie Hurley John), Thelma Rodriguez (Jose), Danny Wainwright (Mary Sharon); her grandchildren, Bethany Meguiar, Curtis Meguiar, Shelby Thorpe, KD Vincent, Carson Head, Kaitlin Wainwright, C] Wainwright, Caroline Wainwright, Sarah Elizabeth Schlechty, Seth Cubbage, Jessica Hurley, Bethany Hurley, Rebecca Hurley, Traci Hurley, Billie Hurley, Isabella Rodriguez, Benjamin Rodriguez, Olivia Rodriguez, Joseph Rodriguez, Melody Wainwright, Emma Wainwright, Aidynn Wainwright; and great grandchildren, Lucy Thorpe, Layla Thorpe, Maxwell Thorpe, Oliver Schoonover, Kennedy Vincent, Waylon Tyler.
Linda was a dedicated servant of Jehovah and attended the Goodlettsville, Tennessee congregation. She dedicated her life to Jehovah on January 16, 1971. She auxiliary pioneered when she could over the years. Linda enjoyed sewing, reading the newspaper, solving Sudoku and crossword puzzles. Most of all, Linda enjoyed being known as Granny by her grandchildren.
The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to all the caregivers, nurses, and staff at Legacy Village of Hendersonville that assisted their mother since she was a resident.
A Memorial Service for Linda will be held on March 4, 2023 at 4pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses located at 325 Slayton Dr., Madison, Tennessee 37115.
